Arugula is exceptionally aromatic and expressive.
What do we compose it with?
- A dressing based on cold-pressed rapeseed oil. Rapeseed oil has a beautiful, golden color, a distinct herbal smell and a slightly nutty taste. It will be the perfect carrier of the distinct flavors of arugula.
- Arugula combines perfectly with the taste of hard cheeses. Thin slices of cheeses such as: parmesan, dziugas, emiligrana or grana padano look just as inconspicuous as arugula leaf, but it is a real flavor bomb. These cheeses will be the perfect binder for arugula with dressing.
- Dried fruits can be a great snack, but also an ideal addition to a salad. Bananas, apples, apricots, raisins, cranberries are just a few suggestions that will improve our salad. The main task of this group of products, in this flavor composition, is to balance and slightly break the expressive flavors of arugula and cheeses with its sweetness and aroma.
- Arugula, like no other lettuce, is not as strong and expressive in itself. It is worth balancing it with juicy vegetables. We can juggle not only flavors and aromas, but also form, color and texture. We have at our disposal, among others, tomatoes: yellow, raspberry, small cherry, smaller cocktail, tiger, etc. Eggplants that can be baked or fried. Peppers: red, yellow, green, chili, jalapeno.
