Why is it worth it
This spinach casserole is the perfect dish for colder days – filling, aromatic and full of flavour. The combination of creamy spinach, crispy bacon and melted Cheddar cheese makes it hard to resist!
Preparation
Fry onion and garlic in butter, add spinach and fry for 2-3 minutes, stirring. Season with salt and pepper. Cut bacon into strips and fry in olive oil. Cut peeled potatoes into half rings and boil in salted water for 10 minutes, then drain. Drizzle an ovenproof dish with olive oil. Put potatoes on the bottom, then bacon, spinach and sprinkle everything with grated cheese. Place in an oven preheated to 200°C and bake for 30 minutes.
